We were leaving the house this morning, and I was carrying Charlotte in order to speed the process along. I'm not sure why, but she started counting.
"One, two, free," she said.
"Four," I rang in.
"Fie, sih," Charlotte added, to my utter SHOCK. Then she said something that sounded like seven. And then, even more surprisingly, out came, "Ay."
"Nine," I continued.
And last, but not least, Charlotte sang out, "TEN!" with great excitement.
Is this normal for a child at two years and three months of age? I don't remember Makela doing this.
Welcome to my blog! It's not fancy, but if you want to know about all things Reid related out here on the west coast, then read on!

Say Your Name
While Charlotte was taking a bath earlier this evening, I started talking with her about her toys. It started when she went looking for the "Baby Doo-Doo," aka the baby duck (having already found the bigger mama duck). Here is our conversation:
Me: "What color are the ducks?"
Charlotte: "Lella."
Me: "How old are you?"
Charlotte: "I two."
Me: "And what's your name?"
Charlotte: "Me."
Still no luck in getting her to say her name, or even anything remotely close to it. Someday, I guess....
